Overseas firms unlikely to find Saudi insurance market attractive: Official

Abdulaziz Abu Al-Saud, a member of the National Insurance Committee at the Saudi Council of Chambers, has said that large foreign insurers are not likely to find the country's insurance market attractive, said Middle East Insurance Review citing the Makkah newspaper.

Low insurance pricing and a saturated local insurance market with 35 insurers operating in it is one of the reasons for the lack of interest by foreign players, said Mr. Abu Al-Saud.
