Kathleen O. Zortman has moved from Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. to president of standard lines property/casualty at QBE North America, QBE said Tuesday.
Ms. Zortman, whose appointment took effect Sept. 1, most recently was chief field executive at Fireman's Fund.
She succeeds Alan Driscoll, who was named chief operating officer of QBE North America's standard lines property/casualty business last month.
“Kathleen has a track record of driving profitable growth through underwriting excellence and a strong focus on the customer, which is exactly what QBE is doing here in North America and around the world as we align our product and service capabilities,” said Dave Duclos, CEO of QBE North America, said in a statement.
Ms. Zortman is based in New York.
Mike Kerner is stepping down as CEO of general insurance at Zurich Insurance Group Ltd. for personal reasons effective in October and will be succeeded by Kristof Terryn, Zurich said Friday.
