S&P upgrades SCOR to AA-

Standard & Poor's Corp. has upgraded French reinsurer SCOR S.E.'s financial rating to 'AA-' from 'A+', citing the reinsurer's "resilience to softening property/casualty reinsurance pricing," reported Artemis.bm.

"SCOR continues to exhibit strong and stable earnings that should sustain extremely strong capital adequacy through 2017," said S&P.

SCOR has "also been able to defend its market share in the consolidating reinsurance sector thanks to prudent risk management and pricing discipline," added S&P.
