Sri Lankan insurer and reinsurer National Insurance Trust Fund has started a procurement process to select a reinsurance broker to place its retrocession program for 2016, Asia Insurance Review reports.

Manjula de Silva, chairman of NITF, said that the firm had received expressions of interest from 20 brokers by Aug. 28. Local as well as international brokers have responded to NITF's retrocession call.
