International Insurance Consortium looks to take over Providna Insurance
Posted On: Sep. 3, 2015 12:00 AM CSTNetherlands-based International Insurance Consortium B.V. is looking to increase its stake in Ukraine-based Providna Insurance Co. from 9.99% to 99.99%, reported Delo.ua.
The International Insurance Consortium plans to purchase 23.8 million shares of the Ukrainian insurer. Ukraine's Antimonopoly Committee authorized the Dutch firm to buy a 50% stake in Providna in August. Providna is currently controlled by Russian insurer OAO Rosgosstrakh.
