Terrorism insurance mooted for military, police in Egypt

Terrorism insurance cover for military forces and the police is being mooted in Egypt, reported Middle East Insurance Review.

The Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority is in talks with the Insurance Federation of Egypt and several insurers to discuss about this cover for members of the military forces and the police.

The policy would cover death, or total and partial disability.

An EFSA official said that the total amount of terrorism coverage will be determined following the completion of actuarial studies and a meeting of representatives of the country's defense and interior ministries.
