Huge fire at Saudi oil firm's residential compound

A huge blaze at a residential compound in Saudi Arabia has claimed at least 10 lives and injured over 250 people, Middle East Insurance Review reports.

The fire broke out at the Radium Residential Complex which houses foreign workers of Saudi Arabian Oil Co.

An electrical short circuit in the basement of a building block is supposed to have caused the blaze.

There has been no estimate of the total economic and insured loss so far.
