Rain causes huge damage in Siglufjorour, Iceland

Damage from heavy downpours in Iceland's Siglufjorour town has been pegged at tens of millions of Icelandic krona, reported Iceland Monitor.

Some estimates have put the cost of the damage at about ISK 100 million ($770,200).

The rains caused mudslides and flood water has damaged two streets.

The Hvanneyrara river has burst its banks due to the rains and has flooded many houses.
