Scor S.E. on Monday said former Alstom executive Nicolas Tissot has joined the French reinsurer as chief operating officer.
His appointment is effective immediately, Scor said in a statement.
He succeeds Julien Carmona who was appointed in 2009 and left in 2012. Scor CEO Denis Kessler had been serving interim COO, according to a Scor spokeswoman.
As COO, Mr. Tissot will be responsible for providing the group's business units with support and reinforcement of operational excellence, according to the statement.
Previously, Mr. Tissot was financial director and an executive committee member at Levallois-Perret, France-based energy and transportation firm Alstom.
Mr. Tissot is based in Paris.
Continuity is the key word in describing Scor S.E.'s property/casualty results, according to the head of its property/casualty operations.
