Two takaful firms account for 7% of premiums
Posted On: Aug. 27, 2015 12:00 AM CSTCombined gross written premiums of Oman's two takaful firms accounted for 7% of total premiums of the country's insurance market in the first six months of 2015, reported Middle East Insurance Review citing the Argaam news website.
The combined gross written premiums of these two firms totaled 17.4 million Omani riyals. Takaful Oman Insurance S.A.O.G.'s gross contributions totaled OMR 3.8 million during the period. Al Madina Insurance Co. S.A.O.G. posted gross contributions of OMR 13.5 million in the first half.
