Lockton Cos. L.L.C. has appointed former Allianz Group executive Guilherme Perondi Neto as deputy CEO of their Brazilian subsidiary, Lockton Brazil.

Mr. Neto is based in São Paulo, and the appointment is effective Sept. 1, Lockton said in a Tuesday statement.

In this newly created role Mr. Neto will be responsible for commercial lines, trade credit and affinity areas, said a Lockton spokesman.

Previously, Mr. Neto was CEO of Euler Hermes Seguros de Crédito in Brazil and most recently deputy CEO of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty for South America at Allianz Group, according to the statement.

“The role of Deputy CEO has been created as a result of our rapid growth and also because we anticipate that with his experience as CEO of Euler Hermes and Deputy CEO of AGCS, he will help us grow the Trade Credit and Specialized risk placement arena by giving us access to new and different markets and an even deeper understanding of client issues and solutions,” said the spokesman.
