Damage from July storms total $177 million to date

The Insurance Bureau of Canada said that the storms that hit the country's western region in July have caused damage worth $230 million Canadian ($177 million), reports 660 News.

Bill Adams, an official at the IBC, said that this is "a preliminary estimate" and that the number would increase. "Over the coming weeks as claims are finalized we'll have more of an accurate number and unfortunately in these instances it tends to be on the higher side of CAD 230 million," said Mr. Adams.
