New York broker Integro lands London aviation division

New York-based insurance broker Integro Ltd. said Thursday that it has acquired AFL Insurance Brokers Ltd.'s aviation division.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The aviation division of London-based AFL Insurance Brokers specializes in aviation hull and liability insurance with complementary surety bond products, Integro said in a statement.

The AFL aviation team is headed by Director Eddy Dawson and Senior Broker Andrew Forester, who will remain in their leadership roles. The team will be based in London and will operate under Integro's global aviation practice, according to an Integro spokeswoman.

“We are delighted with the addition of Eddy Dawson and his colleagues to Integro's impressive aviation team,” said John Sutton, Integro's president of international operations. “They bring a wealth of expertise, experience and relationships that will benefit Integro's clients and prospects across the firm.”

Integro is the 20th-largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance's latest ranking.
