BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Verisk launches insurance claims app

Reprints

Verisk Analytics Inc.’s Verisk Insurance Solutions unit said Wednesday it has launched an ISO ClaimSearch mobile application for Apple and Android mobile device users.

Participating insurers can submit reports on insurance claims and ISO stores the reports on the ISO ClaimSearch database, providing insurers access to data and analytics that will help them prevent fraud, Verisk said in a statement.

The new app is currently available on iTunes and Google Play and will allow users access to the claims inquiry system on ISO ClaimSearch through their iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets, Verisk said in the statement.

Additionally, “users can customize results by claim characteristics, map loss locations, scan VIN barcodes to initiate searches, and call an adjuster directly from a matching claim,” according to the statement.

“The app will provide our subscribers with a new, intuitive productivity tool to arm their adjusters and investigators with real-time access to the property/casualty industry’s premier and only comprehensive database of claims,” said Carlos Martins, vice president and general manager of ISO ClaimSearch Solutions. “ISO ClaimSearch mobile users will see instant search results to help them investigate and adjust claims more efficiently, whether they’re on a roof, in a salvage yard, in a home, at a business, or at a catastrophe site.”
