ARC plans to expand disaster coverage in Africa

Africa’s disaster risk insurer, African Risk Capacity Insurance Company Ltd (ARC), is planning to expand its cover to an additional five countries, reports Out-Law.com.

The African Union-backed program said that the overall coverage is set to increase to $192 million in 2015. Over the next four years, a total of 20-30 African nations are targeted to join the pool.
