Gunmaker to pay $30 million settlement charges over defective pistol triggers
Posted On: Jul. 30, 2015 12:00 AM CSTForjas Taurus, a Brazilian gun manufacturer, has agreed to pay $30 million to settle the allegations made against it over defective pistol triggers in a class action lawsuit, reports OutdoorHub.
The class action lawsuit, led by plaintiff Chris Carter, affects nine handgun models made by the company. Plaintiffs claimed that the affected handguns were capable of firing when dropped, even when the safety is locked.
