Kenya faced 5.4 million cyber-attacks in 2014, which is more than double the figure recorded in 2013, reports Voice of America?.

Majority of the attacks involved targeted information infrastructure such as computer systems or financial crimes.

Private citizens, Kenyan government agencies and other groups were the major targets.

Kenya is listed as among the nations most likely to face cyber-threats.

According to the Kenyan Ministry of Information and Communication, the country has 31 million mobile devices users in 2013.
