Natural disasters cause $14.37 billion economic losses in China in H1

A Chinese government report said that natural disasters in the country caused direct economic losses of 89.24 billion Chinese yuan ($14.37 billion) in the first half of 2015, reported Xinhua.

Disasters claimed 379 lives during the period, the report said.

About 107,000 houses collapsed during the period.
