BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

The National Association of Professional Agents has launched a data breach compliance and certification program.

Sarasota, Florida-based NAPA created the program in cooperation with American Fork, Utah-based digital risk management firm Invisus L.L.C. for independent contractors, insurance agencies and small businesses to meet cyber security guidelines released earlier this year by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, NAPA said Tuesday in a statement.

The program aims to help clients proactively prevent data breaches while offering certification of compliance with state and federal data security regulations through its InfoSafe assessment, according to the statement.

NAPA also provides a cyber liability insurance policy that provides data breach response services and claims defense.

“This program is an indispensable tool for agents to enhance their professional brand, keep key clients and earn new ones,” NAPA founder Lou Marinaccio said in the statement. “Once certified, agents and agencies can use the certification insignia on their website, business cards and client proposals. The program also offers the iCarePro computer security and tech help desk service which includes unlimited access to U.S.-based expert computer security and tech support services for one low monthly fee.”
