Stabilization of property and catastrophe reinsurance rates to continue: KBW

U.S.-based Keefe, Bruyette & Woods Inc. has said that property and catastrophe reinsurance rates will remain stable in spite of any losses that occur, reported Artemis.bm.

"We think that that stabilisation will probably persist almost regardless of whatever catastrophe losses we actually incur over the course of the year," said Meyer Shields, a KBW analyst. Analysts at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. recently said that pricing in the reinsurance sector could stabilize by the end of 2016.
