European Commission grants Bermuda provisional Solvency II equivalence

The European Commission has awarded Bermuda provisional equivalence with Solvency II directive, reported The Royal Gazette.

The European Parliament and the European Council will now review the decision.

The Bermuda Monetary Authority "has an unreserved commitment to achieving full equivalence with Solvency II," said BMA CEO Jeremy Cox.
