Veteran captive insurance player joins new firm

Longtime captive insurance expert Les Boughner has joined Advantage Insurance Management USA L.L.C., where, as chairman, he will focus on developing Advantage's captive insurance business.

“We are excited that Les has chosen Advantage as the platform to continue his leadership and innovation in the captive insurance industry,” Walter Keenan, CEO of parent company Advantage Insurance Holdings Ltd. in the Cayman Islands said in a statement Monday.

“I have known and respected the Advantage team for many years, and I am pleased to be joining the firm at a time when it is experiencing significant growth,” Mr. Boughner said in a statement..

Prior to joining Advantage, Mr. Boughner was a top executive with Willis North America's global captive and consulting practice in Burlington, Vermont, until he resigned in March saying that it was a time to pursue new ventures.

Mr. Boughner will be based in Advantage's Charleston, South Carolina, office.
