Reinsurance competiton fierce: SCOR exec

Evgeny Potokov, an official at SCOR Global P&C Deutschland, a unit of France-based reinsurer SCOR S.E., said that the "reinsurance market is sensitive" and that the reinsurer sees "a strong competition between the reinsurance societies," Xprimm.com reported.

The reinsurer also sees "fierce competition between the reinsurance brokers," said Mr. Potokov.

"South Eastern Europe is an important and (still) attractive market for SCOR," Mr. Potokov said.

Mr. Potokov also noted several trends and challenges in the insurance and reinsurance market including consolidations and very low interest rates.
