Albanian insurance market increases 14.41% in first quarter

Figures from the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority have shown that the country's insurance market increased 14.41% year on year to 3.02 billion Albanian leks ($24.1 million) in the first quarter of 2015, Xprimm.com reports.

Nonlife policies constituted 92.51% of the sector's total gross written premium volume. "During January-March 2015, the number of issued insurance contracts reached 225,337 showing an increase of 10.08% compared with the period January-March 2014," AFSA said.
