Hanover Insurance expands general liability, umbrella coverages

Hanover Insurance Group Inc. is introducing an enhanced suite of general liability and umbrella coverage offerings, the insurer said Thursday.

The suite of general liability coverages consists of more than 20 coverages and enhancements, including coverage for newly acquired or formed organizations until the end of the policy period and for additional insureds, the Worcester, Massachusetts-based insurer said in a statement.

The umbrella liability coverages help eliminate potential gaps in coverage, and allows agents to offer additional protection in the event of a catastrophic loss, with limits that go beyond their clients’ scheduled general liability, commercial auto and employer’s liability coverages, the insurer said.

The coverages are available on new and renewal policies effective immediately, the insurer said.
