Lloyd's studying drone, autonomous vehicle risks

Lloyd's of London Chairman John Nelson recently discussed the current changing risk landscape including the use of drones and autonomous vehicles, reports Asia Insurance Review citing the Wall Street Journal.

"Autonomous vehicles and drones are among the issues Lloyd's is looking at now," said Mr. Nelson.

Lloyd's is focusing on "increased concentration of urbanization worldwide," said Mr. Nelson, adding that this "will change the risk landscape and create unknown unknowns."

On the subject of cyber insurance, Mr. Nelson told the Wall Street Journal that this coverage is growing and has a current run rate of around $2.5 billion.
