Reinsurance group elects new officers

Henry Klecan, president and CEO of Scor U.S. Corp. has been elected chair of the Reinsurance Association of America’s board of directors for a one-year term.

Mr. Klecan succeeds Tad Montross, president and CEO of General Re Corp. The vote came during the Washington-based group’s annual meeting in Sea Island. Georgia, on April 23.

In addition, Michael Sapnar, president and CEO of Transatlantic Holdings Inc. was elected vice chair; and Kean Driscoll, CEO of Validus Reinsurance Ltd., was elected secretary-treasurer.

Mr. Klecan is also chair of the RAA’s Council of Reinsurers and Brokers, and Robert Hatcher, executive vice president of Willis Re, was elected co-chair of the Council of Reinsurers and Brokers.
