Terror groups may launch cyber attacks against businesses, power grids: Official
Posted On: Apr. 23, 2015 12:00 AM CSTStephen Day, deputy director of cyber and information security at the Australian Signals Directorate, has said that terror groups might consider launching a cyber attack on the country's businesses or power grids, reported News.com.au citing ABC radio.
Mr. Day said that the agency had identified 11,000 cyber attacks in the country in 2014. It is "entirely feasible" that a terror group such as Islamic State might consider including cyber warfare in their arsenal, said Mr. Day.
