Malaysian reinsurer MNRB posts net loss of $5.5 million for 2014 third quarter
Posted On: Feb. 18, 2015 12:00 AM CSTMalaysian reinsurer MNRB Holdings Bhd. posted net loss of 20 million Malaysian ringgits ($5.5 million) for the third quarter ending Dec. 31, 2014, The Star Online reports.
Floods that hit the country in 2014 affected the reinsurer's earnings. The reinsurer's earnings amounted to MYR 50.67 million, down 38% year on year. MNRB said that the losses hit its reinsurance and retakaful subsidiaries.
