RenaissanceRe gets regulatory nod to acquire Platinum Underwriters
Posted On: Feb. 13, 2015 12:00 AM CSTBermudan reinsurer RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd. said that it has received all regulatory approvals for acquisition of fellow Bermuda-based reinsurer Platinum Underwriters Holdings Ltd., Bernews reported.
"The transaction remains subject to approval by the shareholders of Platinum," said RenaissanceRe. If the deal gets a nod from Platinum's shareholders in a meeting scheduled on Feb. 27, the deal would be closed on March 2, RenaissanceRe said.
