Many nations lack capacity to avert cyber attacks: Expert

Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky Lab Z.A.O., has said that governments around the world lack the capacity to avert cyber attacks, RT.com reported citing The Times newspaper.

"States are scared" and "they are absolutely not yet ready for this challenge," said Mr. Kaspersky.

Terrorists will be soon able to carry out advanced cyber attacks on vital state infrastructure, Mr. Kaspersky warned.

Although the United Kingdom's security against cyber attacks is more advanced than other nations, the country's government is still "fearful" of the damage from such attacks, added Mr. Kaspersky.
