Heavy rains and floods hit Albania, Greece

Flash floods triggered by heavy rains have affected Greece's northwestern region and southern Albania, reports The Associated Press.

Authorities evacuated four villages in Greece's Epirus region. Three rivers near Arta city in Greece overflowed their banks.

The 18th century Plaka Bridge in the country also collapsed due to the rains.

Rivers flooded several roads, thousands of hectares and hundreds of homes in southern Albania.

Several areas were left without power in the region.

There have been no casualties reported in the two countries.
