BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Cyber risk management course offered by The Institutes

Reprints

The Institutes on Tuesday said it has launched a course focused on mitigating cyber risk exposures and responding to cyber threats.

The course, Managing Cyber Risk, aims to prepare risk management and insurance professionals to respond to cyber risk exposures from an enterprise risk management perspective and make better underwriting, claims and pricing decisions by accurately analyzing cyber risk coverage, The Institutes said in a statement.

The course also aims to help professionals manage cyber threats with an enhanced understanding of how cyber risk affects different operating units of insurance organizations, according to the statement.

A spokeswoman for The Institutes said the course is “self-study.” Study materials are available in print and online, and the exam portion of the course can be completed on-site at a participant’s company or off-site at a Prometric testing center, she said.

Malvern, Pennsylvania-based The Institutes is the operating name of the Insurance Institute of America and the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.
