Lloyd's awaits new insurance law before setting up shop in India
Posted On: Jan. 23, 2015 12:00 AM CSTVincent Vandendael, director of international markets at Lloyd's of London, said that Lloyd's is awaiting the transformation of insurance ordinance into an Act in India as it looks to operate in a market that provides security and continuity, Business Standard reported.
Mr. Vandendael said that Lloyd's is optimistic about the approval of the ordinance. As part of its Vision 2025 strategy, Lloyd's plans to focus on the construction and power generation segments in India, said Mr. Vandendael.
