BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Former energy specialists at Aon P.L.C., Marsh L.L.C. and Lockton Cos. L.L.C. are joining JLT Specialty Insurance Services Inc.’s energy risk team in Houston, the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C. unit said Monday.

Houston-based JLT Specialty Insurance Services, a unit of London-based Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C., said the executives joining its energy operation are William Helander and Wynne Sharpe, who were most recently senior vice presidents with Aon; Melissa Henderson, most recently vice president at Marsh; and Lisa Harris, most recently vice president at Lockton. Also joining the operation is Andrew Glisson, most recently vice president with Houston-based Upstream Insurance Brokers.

JLT Specialty announced in October it was buying the part of the energy business of Alliant Insurance Services Inc. that focused on larger and more complex major and international accounts.

Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group announced in August the merger of its JLT Specialty unit with its wholesale brokerage unit, Lloyd & Partners, to create JLT Specialty Insurance Services and said this signaled its intention to significantly increase its U.S. business, where it will expand existing business lines, including energy, construction, financial lines and credit insurance.

“Today’s appointments are completely aligned to JLT’s strategy of building market leading expertise in core areas of specialty,” Michael Rice, CEO of JLT Specialty Insurance Services, said in a statement. “We see the area of energy as one in which clients are looking for specialist knowledge and expertise.”

The brokerage said the appointments are subject to the fulfillment of existing contractual obligations.
