Stephen Catlin named to International Insurance Society Hall of Fame

The International Insurance Society Inc. has named Catlin Group Ltd. CEO Stephen Catlin as the 2015 Insurance Hall of Fame Award recipient, the New York-based IIS announced Monday.
Mr. Catlin will be inducted at the June 15 awards dinner taking place in conjunction with the IIS' 51st annual seminar June 14-17 in New York.
“Stephen embodies the Insurance Hall of Fame criteria: a strong leader with an extraordinary business vision and creativity,” said Bernhard Fink, chairman of the IIS Honors Committee, in a statement announcing the award. “In a relatively short period of time, the small company he founded has grown into the biggest syndicate at Lloyd's with operations on four continents — a truly remarkable achievement.”
The Insurance Hall of Fame award honors insurance leaders who have made a broad, encompassing and lasting contribution to the insurance industry, and who are recognized by their peers as successful leaders, innovators and visionaries, according to the IIS.
