Texas risk management office names Todd Holt deputy executive director

On Jan. 5, L. Todd Holt will take over as executive deputy director of the Texas State Office of Risk Management.

The Texas State Office of Risk Management has named L. Todd Holt as deputy executive director, effective Jan. 5.

Mr. Holt will be responsible for the office's “strategic initiatives, enterprise support, and organizational development,” the risk management office said Thursday in a statement.

Based in Austin, Texas, Mr. Holt succeeds Stephen Vollbrecht, who was named executive director in October.

Mr. Holt is currently the director of auto, liability and property claims at the Texas Association of School Boards Inc., where he has served in various roles, a spokesman for the risk management office said. Before joining the Texas Association of School Boards, Mr. Holt was the assistant vice president of corporate development and a senior training and performance consultant with Texas Mutual Insurance Co., then known as the Texas Workers' Compensation Insurance Fund, according to the spokesman.

“Mr. Holt's years of direct and successful experience will be a key element in the future growth and development of the office,” Mr. Vollbrecht said in the statement.
