Honda, Nissan and Mitsubishi to recall 550,000 vehicles over faulty air bags

Three Japanese carmakers are set to recall more than 550,000 vehicles worldwide over faulty air bag inflators manufactured by Takata Corp., reports Reuters.

The carmakers recalling vehicles are Honda Motor Co., Nissan Motor Co. and Mitsubishi Motors Corp. Honda said that it would recall about 400,000 cars worldwide, including around 100,000 in Europe and 70,000 in the Asia-Pacific region. Nissan said it would recall about 152,000 vehicles in Europe, Japan and China, while Mitsubishi would recall 304 cars in Japan only.
