U.A.E.: Insurer Beazley sets up office in Dubai to drive Middle East growth

Insurer Beazley P.L.C. has set up an office in the Dubai International Financial Centre to cover terrorism risk, political risk, trade credit and contingency insurance, reported Asia Insurance Review.

The insurer will operate in DIFC as Beazley Middle East Ltd. "The Middle East possesses tremendous potential," said Adrian Lewers, global head of political risks and contingency at Beazley. Mr. Lewers said that with this move, the insurer can "target markets across both the Middle East and North Africa," and deliver highly specialized underwriting.
