Terror attacks worldwide increased 44% in 2013: Report
Posted On: Nov. 18, 2014 12:00 AM CSTThe Global Terrorism Index 2014 report has said that 10,000 terror attacks were recorded in 2013 globally, up 44% year on year, BBC News reported.
The death toll from these attacks increased 61% between 2012 and 2013.
The worst hit country was Iraq. Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria and Nigeria accounted for 80% of the deaths in 2013.
