International Insurance Society names Hall of Fame candidates

International Insurance Society names Hall of Fame candidates

Four current and former insurance executives have been named candidates for the 2015 Insurance Hall of Fame, the International Insurance Society announced Monday.

The four are Stephen Catlin, CEO and vice chairman of Hamilton. Bermuda-based Catlin Group Ltd.; Jozef De Mey, chairman of the board of Brussels-based Ageas S.A.; Donald Kramer, chairman and CEO of Hamilton, Bermuda-based ILS Capital Management Ltd.; and Patrick Thiele, retired president and CEO of Pembroke, Bermuda-based PartnerRe Ltd.

According to the society, the award “honors insurance standouts who have made a broad, encompassing and lasting contribution to the insurance industry and who are recognized by their peers as successful leaders, innovators and visionaries.”

The award recipient will be announced next month. The award will be presented on June 15, 2015, in New York.
