Japan: 4.7-magnitude earthquake hits Tokyo

Japan's meteorological agency said that a magnitude 4.7 earthquake has hit Tokyo region, shaking buildings in the area, NDTV reported.

Authorities have not issued any tsunami warnings.

Quakes are quite frequent in Japan with 20% of earthquakes worldwide having a magnitude of 6 or larger occurring in the country, reported NDTV.
