Asean markets provide huge potential for Korean insurers: Swiss Re official
Posted On: Oct. 28, 2014 12:00 AM CSTSwiss Re Ltd.'s chief economist in Asia, Clarence Wong, has said that entering the Southeast Asian markets would be an advantage for Korean insurers, The Korea Times reported.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations' plan to form a more integrated economic community by 2015 will offer new growth opportunities for the insurers, Mr. Wong said. Meanwhile, Alex H.S. Lee, another Swiss Re official, said the reinsurance industry in Korea is the eighth largest globally with regards to premium.
