China targets Apple iCloud customers with cyber attacks
Posted On: Oct. 21, 2014 12:00 AM CSTGreatFire.org, a group that monitors China's censorship on the internet, has said that the country is directing cyber attacks on Apple iCloud users to access "all data stored" on iCloud, V3.co.uk reported.
There is no clear information on whether the attacks have been successful, the group said. GreatFire said Apple's "increased" encryption should prevent Chinese authorities from "snooping on" user data, but it is not clear whether iPhones being sold in mainland China feature these increased encryption aspects.
