JLT hires Aon exec Sarah Stephens to head cyber business

Sarah Stephens will join JLT as head of cyber, technology and media errors and omissions in its speciality financial lines group in January 2015.

Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C. has appointed Sarah Stephens as head of cyber, technology and media errors and omissions in its speciality financial lines group.

Ms. Stephens currently is head of cyber and commercial E&O for the Europe, Middle East and Africa at Aon P.L.C.

She will join JLT in the newly created role in January 2015, subject to fulfilment of her contractual obligations, JLT said in a statement Tuesday.

She will remain based in London.

“Cyber and related risks is a key area for JLT Specialty, both in the United States and the United Kingdom. The addition of Sarah in London complements the building of our cyber, technology and media capabilities in the United States,” said Mark Wood, head of JLT Speciality's financial lines team in London.

JLT last month appointed three members to its U.S. cyber team.
