Average return of ILS fund market reaches year's best in August

Figures from Eurekahedge ILS Advisers Index have shown that the monthly return for insurance-linked securities and catastrophe bond funds in August is the highest for 2014.

The average return of ILS, pure catastrophe bond and reinsurance-linked investment fund market reached 0.82% during the month, reported Artemis.bm.

Stefan Krauchi, founder of ILS Advisers, said the natural catastrophes that occurred in August had "little to no" on the ILS funds in the index.
