Potential attack from 'Shellshock' bug likely, say researchers

Researchers have said that hackers have started using the newly identified "Shellshock" computer bug to attack vulnerable systems, Reuters reported.

This newly identified bug permits hackers to gain complete control of an infected machine and destroy data or shut down networks and websites, security experts said. The bug is likely to be "one of the most difficult-to-measure bugs," said an internet threats expert.
