Rebels have attacked the state-controlled Yemeni TV and the clashes have led to the closure of the Sanaa airport.
The Saba news agency said many foreign airlines "decided to suspend flights to Sanaa for 24 hours" and the airlines would evaluate the security situation before deciding on when to resume flights.
