Series of earthquakes hits Philippines, damages many buildings
Posted On: Sep. 22, 2014 12:00 AM CSTThe Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has said that about a dozen earthquakes were recorded in a southern Philippine town that destroyed 17 buildings, reports The Weather Network.
The earthquakes also damaged 66 houses. Major damage in a village was caused by a magnitude-5 earthquake, an official said.
A 7.2-magnitude earthquake in Bohol in 2013 had caused widespread destruction and claimed 200 lives.
