Jim Pierce joins Jardine Lloyd Thompson's U.S. specialty group from Marsh

Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C. on Wednesday said it has appointed Jim Pierce as chairman of its new U.S. specialty business, JLT Specialty Insurance Services Inc.

Mr. Pierce most recently served as chairman of Marsh L.L.C.’s global industries practice, with responsibility for Marsh’s aviation, construction, energy, infrastructure, marine, mining, power and rail practices. He had previously worked at JLT USA.

Mr. Pierce will be based in Houston,

London-based JLT announced earlier this month that it had hired a group of former Aon executives for its new U.S. specialty business.
